Winter Solstice Voice Circle

Winter Solstice Voice Circle, Sunday December 20, 1 - 4 PM MT

2020 has been an unexpected year with much intensity and challenge at a personal, communal and global level. It has also presented the invitation for many to slow down, listen, cry, laugh, heal, and awaken to the call of Mother Earth. This workshop aligns with the Winter Solstice in North America . Our voices are our signatures and our lights. This FREE online/zoom gathering is a celebration that amplifies the light within us as power to dispel darkness in the world. In an atmosphere of acceptance and nurturance, musician and healer Liangyeh will guide each participant through breathwork, imagery, toning, chanting, and singing. She will also provide a step-by-step process for participants to experience vocal improvisation based on a favorite poetic text. All are welcome. No previous singing experience necessary. During breaktime, the group will also be making and sharing warm beverage recipes with one another virtually to bring happiness to our bellies!

Participation is limited to 20. To pre-register, email info@historicutetheatre.com or call 719-427-1080 with your name, phone number, and email; we will contact you with more info.

About Our Workshop Leader

Liangyeh is a Taiwanese-born, Boulder-based pianist, vocalist, healer and educator.  She received musical training from the Manhattan School of Music.  She has facilitated creative music workshops in hospitals, museums and schools for personal and community transformation. We had the honor of hosting Liangyeh over a weekend last November for both her amazing piano, singing, and poetry performance as well as her transformative voice, movement, and improvisation workshop!
