Each bootcamp session will introduce and segue into a new Latin dance genre that will build your dance knowledge progressively through hands-on review and practice throughout the summer.

 Latin Dance Bootcamp I – Friday, June 11 th : Salsa Tropical & Other Latin Things

 Latin Dance Bootcamp II – Friday, July 23 rd : Bachata Dominicana & Other Latin Things

 Latin Dance Bootcamp III – Friday, August 6 th : Cha Cha Cha Trio & Other Latin Things

In Latin Dance Bootcamp III, you will move your body to the fun and flirtatious rhythm of the Cuban Cha-Cha-Cha (also called Cha-Cha), a must have in your social dance arsenal. The Cha Cha Cha evolved from a

slow version of the Cuban Mambo called “Triple Mambo” or Mambo with guiro rhythm and Danzon. This musical rhythm inspired dancers to dance a hip syncopation in the middle of the forward and back breaks of a mambo, eventually evolving to a triple step.

In this workshop, participants will take time to master the basic steps of the featured dance rhythm, “Cha Cha Cha”, with review and practice of Merengue, Bachata and Salsa Tropical. The class will culminate with a practice dance party featuring all dance rhythms learned in the Latin Dance Bootcamp series. Dress to impress! Ladies, feel free to wear a dress/skirt and gentlemen, feel free to wear jeans and a comfortable dress shirt.
